What is hypertension

According to the standard stipulated by W.H.O. (World Health Organization),the judging standard for hypertension is as follow :
* Normal Blood Pressure type : Systolic lower than 140 mmHg, diastolic lower than 90 mmHg
* Borderline type : Systolic between 140/160 mmHg, diastolic between 90/95 mmHg
* Hypertensive Pressure type : Systolic higher than 160 mmHg, diastolic higher than 95 mmHg

About Blood Pressure

Blood pressure reaches its highest levels in the large arteries near the heart and drops off toward the peripheral areas of the circulatory system.

Blodd pressure varies in accordance with each beating off heart. When the heart contracts, squeezing the blood out, the pressure inside the blood vessell is called systolic. when the heart expands, sucking the blood back in, the pressure of the blood vessel is called diastolic.
